The FAA’s Air Traffic Organization is severely understaffed with controllers. New York TRACON is less than 60% staffed with fully-trained controllers. And the government is asking airlines to reduce their summer schedules out of New York airports. Ironically the government won’t let JetBlue and American Airlines fully participate to help solve this challenge.

It’s Your First Time In First Class, But You’re Flying Spirit
This is a fabulous reminder for me to stay grounded. I’ve flown most of the world’s great international first class products, and I tend to see business class as ‘transportation’. The plane returned to Cairns after the first one to remove a passenger, and then continued on its way – only to see a second fight take place, causing the plane to be met by both Australian Federal Police and Northern Territory Police. Two fights in one flight is original!

What’s Different Now That The Airline Industry No Longer Considers Newark A New York Airport?
Whether or not ‘Newark airport’ is really New York has been a top of some controversy since 1934, when New York City’s mayor Fiorello La Guardia pulled a stunt refusing to get off of a TWA flight from Chicago at Newark airport because his ticket said his destination was New York. He demanded to be flown to New York. The end result was LaGuardia airport.
