So the hotel was either really bad or simply not paying what it owes (it’s mentioned the property was $100,000 in arrears).

- As Hong Kong leans towards mainland China, it’s adopted Covid-elimination policies (despite having better community-wide immunity than the mainland). That’s meant strict borders and quarantine including for airline crew. As a result Cathay Pacific has suspended all long haul cargo flights.
Does the airline make it without additional government subsidies if these policies continue? It’s not clear what the exit strategy is, since China has little prior infection and vaccines made in China thus far aren’t especially effective, less so against current variants.

If my hotel room smells like diarrhea, it’s most likely an IHG hotel. I still sometimes stay at IHG, while I will not even consider Wyndham, Choice, and the like.
Just don’t look behind the curtain at that “craft vodka” distillery. Often times, “craft vodka” is only distilled for the last few passes through the still – it’s industrial alcohol delivered by the tanker load, then redistilled. Tito’s has been doing this for years – and I like Tito’s for when I need vodka for something. You really don’t want to know the story behind Grey Goose if you think Grey Goose is something special – no, you’ve been burning money on something that’s pure marketing hype.
