Free Delta Miles, Priority Boarding, and Lyft Discounts for Washington State Residents

One of the challenges with Delta’s buildup in the Seattle market has been the city’s intense loyalty to their hometown airline. “Alaska Airlines” is a strange name for a carrier based in Seattle but Seattleites feel a strong affinity for the company.

Delta has done a lot to move the needle, beyond schedule and price. Like Alaska they offer a 20 minute baggage delivery guarantee. The Seattle airport Sky Club is one of their best. And there have been semi-frequent mileage offers targeted at the local market.

Just as they’ve gone a lone way towards investing in New York to become that most important city’s hometown airline, they’ve made investments to become highly local in Seattle and the surrounding area.

One such effort is 12 Status. Washington State residents can register to:

  • Receive 1 mile per Seattle Seahawks passing year during the 2019 NFL season
  • Priority boarding August 29 – February 2

Folks who registered in the past for this promotion have to register again to earn and receive benefits in 2019.

Delta became the official airline of the Seattle Seahawks in 2015. Incentivizing customers will miles is useful, doing so while layering on affinity for local football is next level.
