Hyatt Promotes Their New Head of Loyalty to Chief Commercial Officer

In September Hyatt named Mark Vondrasek as their new head of loyalty ‘and business platforms’. Tellingly at the time he reported directly to the chain’s CEO — and not to the Chief Marketing Officer, who was most responsible for Hyatt’s loyalty program revamp that launched last year. That CMO has since been departed.

Vondrasek had previously been Senior Vice President for Commercial Services at Starwood where he oversaw sales and revenue management as well as distribution, loyalty, and partnerships. He brought in Starwood veteran Amy Weinberg as senior vice president, World of Hyatt loyalty program to run day-to-day loyalty.

He’s now – already – been promoted to become Hyatt’s Chief Commercial Officer. He currently oversees loyalty and the integration and expansion of the Miraval and Exhale brands. His new role is much larger,

Vondrasek will continue to oversee the World of Hyatt loyalty platform as well as new growth platforms, including Miraval and exhale, along with global sales, revenue management, distribution strategy, corporate marketing, brands, communications, digital, consumer insights and global contact centers.
