NRG Home Solar will give you 5000 American Airlines miles if you’re a resident of California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York or North Carolina and you take them up on a solar power consultation.
They’ll give you 25,000 additional miles if you actually buy.
There’s also an offer of up to 40,000 HawaiianMiles for installing solar, although nothing just for a consultation where you don’t actually intend to take them up on the offer.
I picked up 20,000 Delta miles for a hair loss consultation, some folks got 5000 Delta miles for a Lasik exam although that wasn’t worth it to me to travel out of state for (Virginia and New York were excluded).
Last year you could earn American miles for test driving a Cadillac. Not quite as lucrative of course as four family members each test driving a Jaguar and earning enough miles for a Europe roundtrip on British Airways.
I put this offer in the same bucket: listen to a sales pitch, earn miles.
Virgin america has this offer too, but for only 15,000 pts.
The hair-loss consultation was the BEST ever…the guy told me “so you are just doing this for the miles?” (I have a full head of hair.) Sadly, he refused to allow my partner a consultation because he already shaves his head bald (but isn’t actually bald!) Ha!
5,000 miles isn’t enough incentive for me to do much of anything besides push a few buttons these days…
Don’t waste your time if you live in an apartment building in NYC. You won’t qualify.
Could I use a friends address in California?
@mike they’re going to GO to the address for the consultation, i imagine..
Are these elite qualifying miles? I suppose not but just wanted to ask?
Nope.
After consultation, how long does it take for miles to post?
I don’t see a phone # for follow up?
please advise Gary!
